Building a Committee Türkiye

Meeting other Americans in Türkiye, I helped restart the Democrats Abroad Country Committee, engaging hundreds of Americans from Istanbul to Ankara to North Cyprus to vote in 2024.

  • Built City Committees in Istanbul and Ankara, helping advertise to thousands of Americans.

  • Organized the first Party Primary sponsored by Democrats Abroad in over 10 years.

As a Party Committee Member, I reached out to Democrats Abroad members and Americans across Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa to organize the overseas party, in countries where we never had an organized presence before. Together with colleagues, we have expanded our organized presence to the following countries 👉🏻

“Largest Voter Assistance Event for Democrats Abroad in Africa, with members from 20 countries joining to learn more about voting from abroad. We also go to share how organizing Democrats Abroad committees in Africa make a big difference in elections back home!”

Highlights

Middle East Party Building

“Before 2024, there were only 2 country committee organizations in the Middle East. Joining them is a new Committee in Formation in Türkiye and a Gulf-wide Organizing Committee for Americans in the GCC. Representation Matters!

Rising Leadership

Before 2024, to cover all countries without a committee Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, there were 2 GOTV Assistants. After November 5th, there are 60 GOTV Assistants, Organizers and Committee Leaders across all three continents.
