My Non-Profit Work

For 30 years, SRMUN had produced hundreds of alums. Yet, it did not have an organized alumni presence!

I wanted to build a network of alumni to support students that participated in SRMUN, from professional and social networking to continued professional development. I also wanted to organize alumni would support the organization and its conferences through fundraising and giving back their talents and experiences to our conference staff.

So I petitioned our Board of Directors to start one!

Today, our Alumni Network is organized and already making a difference in the organization.

  • We have an organized presence in four US states.

  • We formed a National Alumni Board and are organizing state and local boards across the country.

  • We introduced the first fundraising program beyond our partner schools.

  • We created the first professional speakers series, exposing alums and students seasoned professionals in their fields.

Democrats Abroad - Italy Committee

I ran a workshop around fundraising and fund program development in a Political Party Committee. Together with leadership and concerned members, we identified new funding streams and introduced fundraising and operations best practices for political parties in application-based exercises.

Represented my university on-campus students to and inside the largest student-run nonprofit organization in the world, which provides leadership development to student leaders on university campus’s globally.
